One of my favorite traditions growing up was going to get a real Christmas tree with my father. Every year he and I would go and find the biggest tree within our budget even with mom’s instructions not to get one that was “too big”. Every year we’d pull into the driveway with proud smiles and our tree that was definitely…too big. Every year the base got farther and farther away from the wall and we’d have to cut more and more off the top to keep it from hitting the ceiling. The last tree we got together was our biggest yet!
